On the First Friday of every month, throughout the year, downtown businesses and DGI host special events with extended hours, entertainment, and shopping specials. Every month features a special theme with entertainment and activities for the whole family. Hours are from 5 – 9 p.m.
The not-for-profit showcase is intended for information and awareness booths, preferably with an engaging activity such as an art exhibit or kids activity. Fundraising efforts such as raffle tickets, t-shirt sales, etcetera are NOT permitted. If you wish to sell food items at your booth, you must apply for a temporary food vendor space.
Downtown Goshen, Inc. is a 501c3 organization and as such is prohibited from endorsing specific religious or political views. DGI / First Fridays cannot allow booths or displays designed for the purpose of religious proselytization or political campaigns at its events. Organizations who participate in the Not-for-Profit showcase must agree that they will not encourage event attendees to adhere to or convert to a particular faith, church, or political persuasion, nor will they distribute messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith, support for a candidate or political party.

- Non-profit and other public or private entities deemed fitting by the First Friday staff will be assigned booth space on a case by case basis. Spaces are very limited. DGI will prioritize non-profits with a strong involvement or affiliation to downtown Goshen.
- Organizations must request spaces by the second Friday of each month.
- If you reserve a space and are not able to attend, you must call and cancel this space so that it is available for another group.
- There is no charge for a non-profit information space.
Location / Equipment
DGI provides each non-profit organization with a designated 10’ x 10’ space. The organization must provide and set up equipment (tent, tables, chairs, etc). Please note that the courthouse maintenance staff STRICTLY prohibits use of tent stakes on the lawn. If you bring a tent, you must bring weights – not stakes – to secure the tent.
If you need electricity, you must provide your own generators. Generators must be safe and in good working order. Loud generators are not permitted.
Garbage In – Garbage Out
All materials brought with the organization and all recycling/trash collected during the night must be removed by 10 p.m. Each organization must collect and deposit all waste in the City of Goshen Street Department trailer.
