Downtown Goshen, Inc. exists to ensure the long-term vitality and growth of Goshen’s commercial core. DGI events and programs showcase downtown as a prime destination for shopping and entertainment.
Downtown Goshen, Inc. programs:
First Fridays
On the First Friday of every month - throughout the year - businesses, artists, and entertainers throw a party in downtown Goshen. Hours are from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Gallery openings, dancing lessons, food and wine tasting, yoga and massage, concerts, movies, shopping and dining are all part of the downtown excitement. A performance series features free live entertainment each month.
Goshen Ice Sculpture Festival
The 2008 Goshen Ice Sculpture Festival will be held in historic downtown Goshen, Indiana on January 4th and 5th, 2008. The purpose of this festival is to bring wintertime excitement and activity to the City of Goshen and to expose the public to the imaginative craft and skill of the ice artists.
Façade Program
DGI provides grants to qualified business in the Central Business District to encourage maintenance of historic or distinct architectural features.
Main Street Banner Program
The new Main Street banners, provided by DGI with the new “City on the Go” logo reflect Goshen’s energetic and vibrant downtown. Each new banner will have one of 11 colored “City on the Go” images with the Banner Sponsor’s name/logo.
